Refund policy
At Monastery Mail, each folio is prepared, packed, and mailed in limited quantities. Because subscriptions, catch-up folios, artwork, and accompanying ephemera are produced in small runs, we generally do not accept returns or offer refunds for delivered correspondence.
Damaged, Incorrect, or Incomplete Orders
Please inspect your correspondence upon arrival.
If your folio arrives damaged, if contents are missing, or if you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at:
When possible, please include:
- Your full name
- Order number
- Photographs of any damaged items
- A brief description of the issue
If replacement materials are available, replacement items will be mailed at no additional cost.
If replacement materials are no longer available, you may request a substitute item of equal or lesser value, subject to availability.
If neither a replacement nor a substitute item is available, a refund will be issued.
Missing Correspondence
Please allow up to 14 days for delivery within the United States and up to 28 days for international correspondence from the mailing date. We ship on the first of your folio's month.
If your folio does not arrive within the expected delivery window, please contact us within 14 days at monasterymailinfo@gmail.com.
We will work with you to determine the appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement shipment, substitute items, or a refund when necessary.
Returns
We do not accept returns for delivered subscriptions, folios, artwork prints, ephemera, catch-up editions, or other physical goods except in cases where an order arrives damaged, incomplete, defective, or incorrect.
Items sent back without prior authorization may not be accepted.
Subscription Orders
Subscriptions may not be cancelled after the monthly subscription deadline has passed and fulfillment has begun.
The purchase of a subscription secures a place in the upcoming mailing cycle and does not guarantee the availability of previous editions.
Catch-Up Folios
Catch-up folios and previous editions are produced in limited quantities and are available only while supplies last.
Catch-up purchases may be mailed together with an upcoming subscription shipment when applicable.
International Orders
Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, import fees, or similar charges imposed by their country.
Delivery times for international correspondence are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.
European Union Customers
Customers located in the European Union may have additional consumer rights under applicable law. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights that cannot be waived or restricted under the laws of the customer's country of residence.
